Stratus Aeronautical ("we," "us," "our") operates the website stratusaero.io. We design and sell customizable, budget-friendly flight sim accessories for customers in the United States and Canada. Our services are not directed at residents of the European Union, EEA, or United Kingdom.

What Data We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following personal data:
- Email address — when you sign up for our early-access mailing list or place a pre-order.
- Order information — when you place a pre-order, including your name, shipping address (US/Canada), and order details.
- Payment data — billing information processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full card number. See the Third-Party Services section below.
- Communications — any messages you send to us via email or our contact form.
We do not knowingly collect data beyond what is listed above.
Why We Collect It
We use the data we collect to:
- Process and fulfill your pre-order.
- Communicate order status, shipping updates, and price change notifications.
- Send you marketing emails about our products and launch news (mailing list subscribers).
- Respond to your support inquiries.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Stripe, Inc. — We use Stripe to process all payments. When you place a pre-order, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We receive only a transaction confirmation and limited order metadata. We are not responsible for Stripe's data practices.
Resend — We use Resend to manage our email list and send marketing and transactional communications. Your email address is stored and processed on Resend's platform on our behalf. You can review Resend's privacy practices at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Google Fonts — Our website loads fonts from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com). When your browser requests these fonts, your IP address is sent to Google. This data is handled under Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control this data transfer.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law:
- Mailing list: Your email address is retained on Resend's platform until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Order records: Order and transaction data is retained for a minimum of five (5) years for tax and accounting purposes, or longer if required by applicable law.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time (unsubscribe link in every email).
- California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Unsubscribing
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly to request removal from our mailing list. Requests are processed within 10 business days. Note that unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional communications related to an existing pre-order.
Age Restriction
Our website and services are intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By placing a pre-order or signing up to our mailing list, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will promptly delete it.
Geographic Scope
Our services are available to residents of the United States and Canada only. This website is not directed at, and we do not offer goods or services to, residents of the European Union, the European Economic Area (EEA), or the United Kingdom. If you are located in one of those regions, please do not place an order or submit personal data through this site.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For material changes, we will notify you by email at the address on file. Continued use of our site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
